Kalush Orchestra, the Ukrainian folk band who won Eurovision competition, auctioned their trophy for 500 ETH, nearly $900,000.
The proceeds from the auction will be used to buy drones for Ukraine.
The Tallinn, Estonia-based company made a winning bit for 500 ethereum for the Eurovision trophy.
Kalush’s frontman’s pink hat also attracted a bid of $370,000 from a private buyer in the Czech Republic.
The folk band said that the money would go towards buying three drones and a control center for the needs of the Ukrainian forces.
Eurovision contest has been taking place since 1956.
This was the first time an Eurovision winner sold their trophy.
