Crypto.com collaborates with Apple pay amid lawsuit

July 19, 2022

Crypto.com has announced a new venture with Apple Pay.

The exchange has decided to make its Visa cards available on Apple pay in Australia.

However, amid this announcement a lawsuit against Apple pay has also been filed.

Apple has been sued for antitrust violations over Apple Pay

The plaintiff said Apple’s anticompetitive conduct forces more than 4,000 banks and credit unions that use Apple Pay to pay at least $1 billion of excess fees annually for the privilege.

Last August, they helped obtain a $100 million settlement for smaller iOS developers that claimed Apple overcharged them on commissions.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified triple damages and a halt to Apple's alleged anticompetitive conduct.
