These Hackers Stole Funds To Return Later Amid Nomad Loot

August 2, 2022

Nomad bridge token went from having $190 million to $5,000 in a matter of hours.

Once a hacker got into the protocol and made the first transaction, several hundred accounts followed him and copy pasted the command to rob the protocol.

However, not all of the hackers had the same intentions.

Some hackers went in with the intention to withdraw funds so others couldn’t and planned on giving back later.

Twitter user Leadinscientist tweeted he tried to withdraw funds to return back later to Nomad.

Rira Capital, one of the main hackers, cashed out 2500 ETH.

Over 41 addresses have been identified so far that were linked to the loot.
