John McAfee is still alive and hiding in Texas, ex girlfriend claims.

John McAfee’s body was found in a Spanish prison cell last year after he was ordered to extradite back to the USA.

In a new Netflix documentary, McAfee’s ex-girlfriend Samantha Herrera claimed the software entrepreneur is still alive and hiding out in Texas.

Herrera claimed that she got a call from Texas. "Hey, it's me, John — I paid off people to pretend that I am dead, but I am not dead," McAfee told her on the call.

However, McAfee’s wife Janice McAfee rejected such claims.

“Oh how I wish this were true. If John were alive I'm pretty sure he would not be hiding out in Texas," Janice tweeted.

McAfee’s body has been lying in a Spanish morgue for over a year.

McAfee’s wife continues to maintain that John was murdered and it was not a suicide like authority continues to claim.
