Netflix is blocking all ads related to politics, gambling and cryptocurrency on its new subscription tier.

Netflix’s new subscription tier will also not run ads targeting children.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald report, along with crypto ads, restrictions on pharmaceutical ads were also being considered.

The streaming giant’s new subscription tier will go live on Nov. 1 in several countries, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany and France.

Earlier last year, Google’s parent company Alphabet reversed a ban on crypto-related advertisements.

Several country’s watchdog groups have been quite strict on crypto advertisements in the last few years.

In 2018, social media giant Meta had also banned crypto ads across its platform before reinstating them later.
