October 21, 2022

Tesla chief has predicted that the recession could last till 2024 citing concerns on demand in China and Europe.

Musk replied, "Just guessing, but probably until spring of '24,"  to a Twitter user asking him how long the recession would last.

Shares of Tesla dropped this week after Musk said it was a "little harder" for the electric-vehicle maker to garner demand in the face of a weakening global economy.

Elon Musk in August had said that the inflation has peaked and we might be heading towards a mild recession.

As reported earlier, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos also warned of a recession and cautioned everyone to watch out.

Elon Musk also said that he sees a potential path for Tesla to be worth more than Apple and Saudi Aramco combined.

The world’s richest man sees Tesla become a roughly $4.5 trillion company in the future.
