As per the WSJ reports, the microblogging site is offering free advertisements to brands that advertise on its platform.

As per the emails reviewed by the Journal, Twitter is dangling free ad space by offering to match advertisers' ad spending up to $250,000.

The move was taken as an attempt to bring the brand back onto the platform.

However, Twitter has not responded to this till now.

It was previously reported that Twitter derives nearly 90% of its revenue from digital ad sales.

In November, the company saw a "significant drop in revenue" as advertisers withdrew their ads.

Since Musk acquired Twitter, the company has taken several steps, including laying off thousands of employees, pushing for a "hardcore" work culture and many more.
