Craig Wright Loses Copyright Claim

Self proclaimed Bitcoin creator Craig Wright has lost the copyright claim.

As per the reports, a UK judge has ruled that the Bitcoin blockchain file format cannot be protected by copyright.

Craig Wright argued that Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash violate his intellectual property rights.

Judge James Mellor ruled that the Bitcoin file format cannot be considered a literary work.

This was because Craig Wright cannot prove how it was first recorded.

The judge said that the copyright claim to the 2008 White Paper and whether Wright was indeed the author would be subject to future rulings.

Last week, it was ruled that Wright’s Tulip Trading claims against 16 Bitcoin developers should go to trial in London.
