In China’s 6th global public blockchain technology assessment index, EOS and Ethereum yet again ranks at the top and remains the favourite due to being “undoubtedly the preferred platforms for Dapp development worldwide,” while Bitcoin slides down to 19th spot with special mention to “NULS, Iota and Ripple chains.”
China Releases 6th Crypto Ranking Index
The China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID) under the country’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, has released yet another of its crypto ranking. This sixth update that was announced earlier this week evaluates 33 cryptos.
EOS remains the favourite since China first started its crypto ranking as the 5th largest cryptocurrency as per market cap has been topping this list. This time as well, it gained the highest points for basic tech and applicability.
Another favourite digital asset is Ethereum (ETH), the second largest cryptocurrency in the world which gains the second spot in China’s global public blockchain technology assessment index as well. The subsequent spots have been acquired by Bitshares (BTS), Nebulas (NAS), and NEO.

“At present, EOS and Ethereum are undoubtedly the preferred platforms for Dapp development worldwide, and EOS is showing a stronger momentum. The data shows that EOS Dapp is highly active and user increments are large.”
Special mention is given to, “From the current comprehensive index, the most prominent rankings are the NULS, Iota and Ripple chains, ranking by 11, 9 and 8 respectively.” It further says, “Compared with the previous index, the public chain with the largest increase in the innovation index is Ripple Chain, NULS, Iota, Nebula Chain and Bit Cash.”
Meanwhile, Bitcoin (BTC) remains low in the list. This time Bitcoin has further downgraded to 19th spot from last time’s 16th rank. With the highest point in creativity, BTC lacks in the department of basic tech and applicability as per the index ranking.
“The global public chain technology assessment work was organized and implemented by the CCID (Qingdao) Blockchain Research Institute. It was jointly carried out by a number of units including the CCID Think Tank under the China Electronic Information Industry Development Research Institute and the China Software Testing Center.”
