After playing hide and seek with cryptos, Elon Musk has finally entered the world of cryptocurrencies. According to sources The Boring Company, prompted by Musk, as started accepting cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin.
Now buy Elon Musk’s ‘Not A Flamethrower’ with Bitcoin
Founded in 2016, The Boring company’s mission is to eliminate traffic in major cities by creating a web of underground tunnels that provide a new way to rapidly move from one place to another. With the company building its first test tunnel in Los Angeles, Musk decided to sell a line of unique items promoting the venture, including hats and the now-infamous “Not-A-Flamethrower.” According to The Next Web which reported this news first, the company is now accepting Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash alongside more traditional payment methods. To quote from THe Next Web
“The flamethrowers are retailing for $500, a lower figure than the pre-sale price of $600. At the time of writing, that means you can get yourself one of the devices for 0.078 Bitcoin. Or 2.48 Ether. That almost sounds reasonable.”
Musk has had several flirtations with cryptocurrency this year.
In February 2018, Elon Musk revealed that he “literally own[ed] zero cryptocurrencies,” in an apparent attempt to warn his followers not to interact with fake “Musks” on Twitter. The billionaire also noted that he has reported the issue to Dorsey multiple times to no avail. In July this year again Musk tweeted in connection to crypto scammers on Twitter being impressed by the skills as the keep on resurfacing even after numerous attempts to shut them down.
He was spotted with a book on crypto back in March.
Musk has also remarked on the “mad skillz” of malicious bots on Twitter that relentlessly impersonate celebrities and then try to convince people to give away their cryptocurrency. Musk quipped that he wants Ethereum “even if it is a scam.”
In September, impressed by the simplicity in which Dogecoin is coded and the way Jackson Palmer is paving the success path with his blockchain project, Elon Musk has reached out to Palmer asking him for a solution that could stop the scam spamming’s.
So, Musk’s tryst with cryptocurrency has finally come to an end as the prodigy has finally come in acceptance with cryptocurrencies. Crypto enthusiast can just accept Elon Musk and his Midas touch could change fortune for cryptos as well as it has done for other ventures
