Bitget Launches Anti-scam Month 2026 to Mirror its 2025 Success

Highlights

  • Bitget launches Anti-Scam Month 2026 under a new multi-asset security theme.
  • In 2025, Bitget intercepted 150M+ attacks and recovered $32.3M for users.
  • Passkey authentication, ML threat detection, and industry partnerships strengthen Bitget's defenses.

Bitget has recently launched Anti-Scam Month 2026 under the theme “More Assets, Stronger Shield. Stay Safe in the Multi-Asset Era.” This initiative is designed to mirror the platform’s success in staving off fraudulent attacks in 2025.

In 2025, Bitget intercepted more than 150 million malicious attack requests, identified over 13,000 high-risk malicious IP addresses, and handled 18,135 user protection cases. The platform’s security team also helped users recover approximately $32.3 million linked to security incidents.

The annual initiative strengthens an already robust protective program, focusing on a new multi-asset trading environment where users’ needs have expanded, and so have the threats they are vulnerable to.

Security Responsibilities Must expand with the Assets

In the letter discussing Anti-Scam Month, Hon Ng, Chief Legal Officer at Bitget, talked about how people’s access to trading assets has expanded, which has made it important for security measures to keep up.

“Protecting users requires continuous risk monitoring, rapid response mechanisms, security education, and close cooperation across the industry,”

Hon Ng said, adding later that Anti-Scam Month is Bitget’s initiative to progress innovation and customer protection simultaneously.

2025 Shaped Bitget’s Focus Towards Security

2025 was the year when Bitget’s focus on security became stronger.

It strengthened its security framework across account protection, asset custody, fraud prevention, and platform risk management.

First, Bitget introduced Passkey authentication capabilities based on FIDO2 and WebAuthn standards. With these upgrades came better multi-factor authentication coverage for high-risk account actions. The platform’s anti-phishing protection became stronger. Users gained more control over how they monitored their assets in real time.

2025 also saw Bitget expanding its real-time threat detection and web security infrastructure. The strong protective measures led to more than 2.8 billion interceptions through custom protection rules. Bitget also stopped over 1.5 billion DDoS-related attack attempts.

Machine-learning-based behavioral analysis was added later to identify and potentially stop suspicious activity and emerging threats across multiple layers.

Beyond technology, Bitget has continued to focus on education as a protective strategy. Anti-Scam Month was the result of that.

The ones held in 2024 and 2025 reached approximately 1.38 billion users globally. Those initiatives introduced new security awareness content, educational resources, and community engagement activities.

Bitget also increased the veracity of its Anti-Scam Hub while maintaining its public bug bounty program. The expansion introduced interactive initiatives such as the Smarter Eyes Challenge, which attracted close to 50,000 participants through simulated phishing and scam detection exercises.

Bitget has continued to partner with leading blockchain security organizations, such as SlowMist and Elliptic, to create a stronger threat intelligence sharing network, research anti-fraud measures further, and make the industry more focused on educating people about security.
