Time for Consensus 2022 Hosted by CoinDesk
CoinDesk is better known to the crypto community as the most popular news portal for Bitcoin and digital currencies. Owned by the Digital Currency Group, it is known to host a yearly blockchain event called Consensus. During this event, the crypto industry’s most influential individuals gather to share and experience emerging innovations. Consensus has been going on since 2015. But this year, it is making a comeback in person.
Details of the Event
According to the official announcement, the event will be held at a venue in Austin, Texas. The event-cum-crypto fest includes several activities to showcase different aspects of the current crypto industry focusing on NFT, Web3 ecosystems, and their role in the world as we know it.
The event will begin on June 9th, 2022 at the Austin Convention Center and end on 12th. Some additional programs will be hosted under the direction of CoinDesk, the World Economic Forum, Coin Center, and other organizations.
The event was announced last year by CoinDesk with a note from the Mayor of Austin, Steve Adler. Mayor Adler has shown support for cryptocurrency and blockchain by opening the doors of Austin to embrace the disruption along with the great innovative ideology that Consensus has represented since 2015. According to CoinDesk CEO Kevin Worth’s statement, the partnership between CoinDesk and the venue city of Austin is sure to allow several crypto-curious people to come together and foster ideas about the industry through events like Consensus.
Programs Included in the Event
CoinDesk Consensus 2022 is partnering with the World Economic Forum to lead the event. The WEF is also going to convene several sessions regarding the newly-formed Accelerator. The sessions will be dedicated to addressing social principles that might use crypto and blockchain.
On the 10th Coin Center will be hosting its annual fundraiser during Consensus which would be an invite-only gala for the top-tier guests and celebrities within the crypto industry. The Coin Center has planned an Annual Dinner event which would be completely separate from the Consensus festivities. This exclusive event would be supported by the participating icons for WEF’s policy advocacy mission.
