Announced on Jan 05, 2019, Litecoin foundation reveals “LTC as a price for winning filmmakers’ at Mammoth Film Festival. The award fest will be held on Feb 07 to Feb 11, 2019.
Crypto goes to Hollywood
Mammoth Film Festival is an annual international film festival, annually organized in Mammoth Lakes, CA. This time, the winners will taste the prize in cryptocurrency. In the latest blog post, entitled ‘Litecoin goes to Hollywood with the Mammoth Film Festival’, the firm revealed that Litecoin Foundation is sponsoring the event. Accordingly, winners will receive LTC as part of their prize. Moreover, Litecoin founder, Charlie Lee says that;
“When we spoke to the festival’s founders, they immediately expressed the growing enthusiasm and support for Litecoin we’re seeing amongst the filmmaking community,”
Similarly, Tanner Beard, president of Mammoth Film Festival excitedly adds;
“As we establish ourselves as a new festival in an already dense market, it makes a great deal of sense for us to throw the old pattern away.
LTC Value Goes Up
Nevertheless, it is important to note that the value of LTC at press time is quite impressive. While other leading cryptocurrencies including BTC, XRP, ETH, and others are dipping with red marks, LTC is rising with 1.44 percent price growth over the past 24hrs. Eventually, it is now the sixth largest cryptocurrency, overtaking Tether according to the data from coinmarketcap.

Litecoin’s effort beyond crypto industry is not the first time, earlier, it featured LTC’s logo in Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), a U.S.-based martial arts company. The move clearly indicates that Litecoin foundation foresees the adoption of cryptocurrency using various measures.
“As we push for mainstream adoption, it makes sense to partner with a festival that is comprised of people who bring new ideas and visions to the world through the content they create, and one we can grow with through the years. ” Lee said
