Ripple is the 7th top startup of 2018 as per the LinkedIn list along with 4 other companies from the crypto space. Meanwhile, Brazil-based BeeTech joins Ripple for cross-border payments that have the community excited and XRP prices going green.
LinkedIn’s top startups of 2018 list includes 5 crypto companies
This year’s top startups list from the professional networking platform LinkedIn has in total 5 names from the crypto space. Ripple ranks 7th on this list comprising 50 startups. The list explains:
“Finance, modernized: Sending money between banks, across borders, remains stubbornly antiquated. Ripple uses blockchain technology to transform what had been a multi-day process into one completed in seconds. The 6-year-old startup now has more than 100 customers, including massive banks such as Santander and Standard Chartered; it added two new customers a week last quarter.”
San Francisco-based Ripple’s global headcount as per the LinkedIn’s description is 250 which is further illustrated as:
“Ripple effect: While some blockchain companies are still “playing in the sandbox,” as Ripple tells LinkedIn, it’s focused on growth — it plans to hire another 75 people by year’s end.”
Out of the 50 listed companies, apart from Ripple, four other crypto companies make it in the list:
- Coinbase – On 3rd position, this 6-year-old popular crypto exchange has grown “to spectacular growth. It now has more than 20 million accounts, about XRP price the number of Charles Schwab.”
- Robinhood – 6th position, “The 4-year-old startup, XRP price Stanford roommates, has since expanded to cryptocurrencies and options, with XRP price to mimic every service found in a traditional bank, at lower costs.”
- Gemini Trust Company – 25th rank, “Cameron and XRP price, the world’s XRP price, set out to make trading cryptocurrency mainstream through their regulated exchange that allows you to do it in a secure and compliant manner — a trend they are trying to bring industry-wide.”
- ConsenSys – 26th rank, “An incubator for projects and businesses based on the Ethereum blockchain, works with some 50 different companies and projects, including Amazon Web Services, GlaxoSmithKline and the World Wildlife Fund.”
Brazil’s BeeTech joins Ripple to speed up cross-border payments
Ripple has added yet another name to its ever-growing list of partners. Brazil-based BeeTech that basically offers “financial solutions that integrate all processes originated in cross-border transactions” is the latest addition.
Ripple took to Twitter to announce the news:
“We’re thrilled to partner with BeeTech. Ripple supports them with payments infrastructure that enables them to rollout new products, offering same-day transfers out of Brazil.”

The different types of products offered by BeeTech are BeeCambio- an online currency exchange and Remessa Online- international remittances online platform. Ripple and XRP enthusiasts are surely excited as one, xrpbrazil commented:
