Samsung Blockchain Platform SDK In View
At the Samsung Developer Conference 2019 (SDC19) which will be held from 29th to 30th October, Samsung is going to announce its inbound blockchain initiative focused on data storage, wallet provision, development of decentralized applications (Dapps) and Security. According to the official announcement,
“The Samsung Blockchain Platform SDK will be announced at SDC19 and is a comprehensive solution that tackles two of the biggest obstacles in expanding the DApp ecosystem: security and the complexity of building a mobile-compatible DApp.”
Samsung claims that its new Samsung Blockchain Platform SDK will enable developers to easily build mobile-compatible decentralized applications while expanding the DApp ecosystem.
“The new SDK not only allows DApps, many of which are web based, the ability to seamlessly integrate their apps into mobile space, it is also highly attractive for legacy apps that want to integrate blockchain features, such as enabling payment with cryptocurrency.”
Samsung’s Previous Blockchain integration
The tech giant, Samsung has particularly focused its energy on developing its mobile phones with the integration of blockchain-powered tools like crypto wallets. Their flagship S10 mobile phones, which have been in constant competition with their Apple counterparts, recently got tremendous modifications for accommodating blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
As reported earlier by Coingape, Samsung stepped up its blockchain game after its S10 crypto wallet added support for bitcoin and at least 30 other cryptocurrencies. At the time, an executive of the company said,
“Dapps that are affiliated with the company will be added to the Samsung blockchain wallet list, and the tokens of the Dapp will also be added to the Samsung blockchain wallet’s support token list.”
With such crypto-focused developments, Samsung is helping bring blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies closer to the masses. What do you think about Samsung’s new initiative? Share your views with us in the comments below!
