The founder of Tron Foundation, Justin Sun, on Tuesday, has issued a series of apologies in which he expressed his regret for his inability to live up to the expectations of the public on the much-anticipated crypto briefing lunch in which he had been inviting a lot of friends.
Although, he confirmed that his original intentions for setting up the lavish $4.6 million lunch which was later canceled with Warren Buffett was good, however, he confessed to having over-marketed himself and his foundation in the process.
In words that are not more than two syllables, Justin Sun is sorry for bringing himself and Tron to the limelight using a lunch with Buffett as an excuse.
At the beginning of the controversial affair, Tron had managed to set up a meeting with the business tycoon, Warren Buffett to whom he promised to introduce the blockchain and cryptocurrencies. As things came to materialize, Buffett agreed to a lunch with Justin and his friends in order to get to understand the topics of decentralization and digital currencies.
Justin started inviting some other crypto enthusiasts, influencers and fellow CEOs whom he thought would have been able to present the use cases of the blockchain in a better way. Binance’s Changpeng Zhao received one of the first set of invitation but politely declined it for business reasons. Until now, many have been called to the table as this has caused quite a stir in the crypto community.
The initial idea was to bring in popular figures like Buffett to instigate mass adoption of blockchain. However, it seemed Tron had other plans. He would seize the opportunity to attract some attention to himself and Tron Foundation in general, which no one thought was the case. And for this reason, Justin has rendered an apology.
Amid seemingly sincere apologies, Justin also revealed that he would be repairing his illness for a period of which vocalization on Weibo, media engagements, interviews and research and developments from his marketing hype would be greatly reduced. He expressed desires to use this medium to fully get himself fixed up along health lines and slowly recover.
