In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Caroline Pham, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) urged the crypto regulators to work on clearer crypto regulations.

“There is a very advanced discussion happening outside the United States”, the CFTC Chief told the Bloomberg journalist.

She also said that the crypto industry needs to identify regulatory frameworks for the non-financial crypto activities.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission is an independent US government agency that regulates market derivatives, including futures, options and swaps.

Pham believes that clearer regulations and public meetings could have prevented the crypto industry from the last year’s meltdown.

She also suggested that regulators should start thinking proactively about advancing global crypto regulations.

“It is a matter of concern,” the commissioner replied on the question of legal troubles between Gemini and Genesis.
