It was not that long ago that Cryptocurrencies started to turn heads and acquire executives from tech giants like Google, Facebook, and Amazon. Now the onset of web3 buzz, many from the mainstream tech agencies were hopping ships to experience the new world.
Musk took his favorite social media Twitter to once again share his opinion and be a part of the meme community.
While it was clearly a jab at web3 and the Ethereum co-founder, the meme also showed the three generations of the internet. The first picture is of the co-founders of Google, Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
While the meme coin proponent lived up to his meme-lover image, others were having a field day sharing different Vitalik Buterin faux passes.
While many in the field are excited to find out more about the next generation of the internet, there were others like Elon Musk who criticized it. Jack Dorsey, the co-founder of Twitter argued about it being centralized and controlled by a handful of venture capitalists.
While many top executives from tech giants were moving on to Web3, will Musk’s and Dorsey’s criticism be short-lived? Only the future of Web3 can clarify who is right in judging this novice tech.
