On Tuesday, Floyd Mayweather announced a new NFT project “ Mayeweverse” on Twitter.
The NFT collection will consist of 5 different NFT cards with a quantity of 1000 available for each, according to the announcement.
Crypto fans responded negatively to this announcement, as the boxing legend has a history of promoting half baked projects.
Mayweather was accused of inflating and promoting ETH MAX tokens, only to cash out as soon the prices rose and leave genuine investors at a loss.
Earlier, Floyd Mayweather and Kim Kardashian were sued in a class-action lawsuit for promoting EthereumMax. ETH MAX is currently down 98% from ATH.
“Don’t you have a reputation of promoting scams?,” a Twitter user replied under the Mayweverse announcement tweet.
Twitter users reminded the American boxer of his other failed NFT and crypto projects which he abandoned abruptly.
