On December 21st, the Twitter Business account announced the launch of another Twitter feature, “$Cashtags”.

When someone tweets a major stock or cryptocurrency symbol preceded by a $, Twitter users see a clickable link that takes them to search results.

As of today, these search results include price graph for major symbols.

It also detailed that one can search for symbols directly, without clicking on a link within a Tweet.

Twitter Business account added that in this they will refine the user experience and expand the coverage of symbols in the coming weeks.

Elon Musk appreciated the Twitter team and retweeted the announcement of the new feature, calling it one of many product improvements coming to financial Twitter.

Currently, BTC and ETH are the only two with price charts whereas Dogecoin and other crypto are expected to make the cut in the coming weeks.
