RCB Twitter Account Hacked With BAYC Name

The official Twitter handle for Royal Challengers Bangalore was hacked and defaced on Saturday.

The hackers renamed the account to "Bored Ape Yacht Club" and also included a link in their Twitter bio.

Reports suggest that RBC posted a promotional video on Twitter and after that, the accounts were hacked.

The hackers started posting NFT-related tweets on the timeline, and the users quickly understood that the account was hacked.

In September 2021, the official Twitter handle of RCB got hacked but they were able to recover it.

RCB Twitter handle was created in September 2009 and has around 6.4 million followers.

At press time, RCB has not removed the BAYC-related content. But the name and the description have been restored.
