Its core design principle is to focus on the developer and user experience and prioritise an easy and friendly experience for everyone.

Millions of dollars have been invested by venture capital firms and were previously claimed to be able to process 160,000 transactions per second (TPS).

However, some community members have pointed out that the TPS claimed on the mainnet is far below expectations.

Other users on Twitter noticed that the Aptos Discord was closed for hours after the mainnet launch so that users couldn't chat or ask any questions.
