NFT of Jack Dorsey’s first-ever tweet gets the highest bid of $280.

April 14, 2022

Sina Estavi, the current owner of the NFT of Jack Dorsey’s first ever tweet, listed the digital collectible for $48 million last week.

Estavi had expected the NFT to go for as much as $50 million at least. But the auction on OpenSea closed with just seven total offers ranging from $277 to $6.

Iranian-born crypto entrepreneur Sina Estavi had pledged to donate 50% of the proceeds from the NFT auction to charity.

Estavi had purchased the NFT last year in March for $2.9 million.

The NFT owner has two days to accept the offer made on OpenSea before it expires.

Estavi was arrested last year in Iran for “disrupting the economic system” and spent nine months in prison.

Estavi revealed that he might never sell the NFT if he does not get a better offer.
