Ledger Co-Founder And Ex CEO Apologizes For The PR Disaster

Éric Larchevêque, co-founder and the former CEO of Ledger, took to Reddit to apologize about the Ledger Recover launch and how it was handled.

Eric blamed all the backlash that Ledger received over its Recover is only a PR failure and not a technical fault.

“Ledger Recover service was put in your face in the worst way possible,” Eric said.

As reported earlier, Ledger launched its Ledger Recover update that caused a stir online.

This update allows users to secure their seed phrase by encrypting it in three pieces that will be held in three places.

A user will have to provide their ID or passport to confirm their identity if they want to use the Ledger Recover service.

Ledger seems to have opened a can of worms with its latest update as users start to lose confidence in their service.
