Premier League's Liverpool Football Club is testing the NFT market.

April 4, 2022

Top Liverpool executive Drew Crisp said that the club is entering the NFT space but with great caution.

Later last month, the English football club announced that they are dropping their own NFT collection.

The football club launched two NFT collections, including a set of 24 unique ‘Legendary’ 1 of 1 NFTs and a series of generative ‘Hero Edition’ NFTs.

The proceeds from the NFT sales would go towards the LFC Foundation to fund programs related to the community’s benefits.

Liverpool FC assessed  the NFT market for over a year before launching its first collection this month.

Liverpool is following the lead of sports teams that have already embraced NFTs.

Out of 20 English Premier League football clubs, 17 have signed deals with fan token firms.
