"Next, we find our WorldCom. Patience", said Burry in a tweet.

Worldcom, a distance telephone company had the largest accounting fraud in American history, where it overstated its assets by over $11B.

The fraud was uncovered in June 2002 when the company's internal audit unit led by Cynthia Cooper, discovered over $3.8B of fraudulent balance sheet entries.

He also compared ongoing SVB to Enron in a previously deleted tweet, which filed for bankruptcy in 2001 after an accounting scandal.

Burry has taken a bearish stance on markets over the past few years and has repeatedly warned investors to prepare for a looming crash in stock prices.
