A cricket NFT platform is reportedly raising about $100 million in a new funding round with backers including football star Cristiano Ronaldo.

FanCraze is an online blockchain-backed platform for trading officially-licensed digital cricket collectibles.

Major venture capital firms Insight Partners and US-based B Capital Group are reportedly leading the blockchain startup’s series A round.

The fundraising for the cricket NFT platform has also attracted South Korea’s Mirae Asset Financial Group.

Earlier, FanCraze had raised $17.4 million in a seed funding round led by Tiger Global Management. Other major participation came from Coatue, Sequoia Capital India and Dapper Labs.

Previously known as Faze Technologies, FanCarze has officially partnered with the cricket’s official governing body, International Cricket Council.

Earlier, an NFT startup co-founded by the NFL star Tom Brady called Autograph raised $170 million in Series B funding.
