Spotify is reportedly planning to add NFT feature for its artists.

Streaming giant Spotify is drawing up plans to add blockchain technology and NFTs features on its platform to boost artists’ earnings.

The music and podcast streaming platform is hiring people to work on early stages of the latest product.

"This small and full-stack team is responsible for driving growth through new technologies, like Web3,” the recruitment notice read.

Spotify entering the NFT world is not a surprise as several well known musicians including Snoop Dogg, Steve Aoki, and Eminem have already embraced NFTs on their own.

This is not the first time Spotify has hinted at entering the crypto world. The streaming platform was among the few tech companies that backed Facebook’s Diem project.

Earlier, Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced similar plans to add NFT features for Instagram users.

Microblogging platform Twitter also unveiled a feature last year that lets users put an NFT as their profile picture.
