Live streaming giant Twitch announced a ban on crypto gambling streaming after a recent backlash.
Top Twitch personalities had announced multi-million dollar sponsorship deals with crypto gambling websites that are not registered in the US or other jurisdictions.
Amazon-owned streaming company Twitch will ban live streaming of gambling sites like Stake.com, Rollbit and Duelbits.com.
The ban on crypto gambling streaming goes into effect October 18.
Twitch said in a statement on Twitter that crypto gambling streaming exposes their community to potential harm.
Twitch celebrities playing slots, Blackjack and other games of chance continue to attract a higher number of viewers.
Sites like Stake.com sponsor the biggest influencers for upwards of $1 million a month, according to a streamer.
