Twitter blue tick has been removed from the two senior Taliban leaders' Twitter handle

As reported by BBC, Hedayatullah Hedayat and Abdul Haq Hammad managed to get Twitter's blue tick.

Hedayatullah Hedayat is the head of the Taliban's department for "access to information," and Abdul Haq Hammad, is head of the media watchdog at the Afghan Ministry of Information and Culture.

Recent reports suggest that Blue Tick from their account has been removed.

Furthermore, this development came after several users expressed anger against Twitter's decision to give a blue tick to Afghanistan’s Islamist leaders.

It's unclear whether the Taliban leader unsubscribed themselves from the Twitter blue service or Twitter removed their blue tick services.

Twitter previously only gave verified blue tick to the notable Twitter handles of public interests and its verification process has been questionable ever since Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover
