The CEO of Uber, Dara Khosrowshahi stated that Uber would consider accepting bitcoins as payment, however, won't buy bitcoin with its cash.
At present, Uber is not accepting the digital assets as payment for its ride-sharing and food delivery services. However, it will start soon.
Dara Khosrowshahi said the company was constantly watching the crypto space as it shows a lot of value in cryptocurrencies.
He highlighted that when crypto becomes more cost-efficient and environmentally friendly, the company will give it a shot. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies requires expensive exchange mechanisms.
