What You Need to Know to Earn Rewards with Huobi Primepool?
This past July, Huobi launched a new program, Primepool, to give users an easy and convenient way to participate in the Huobi ecosystem and invest in new projects.
I’ve been an avid Huobi user for a while. When I first started trading crypto, I wasn’t aware of the platform, but after I learned that it’s not only one of the biggest crypto exchanges in the world but also offers several ways to earn rewards—and even passive income—I was hooked.
When the latest program Primepool launched, I was excited to try it out and earn some rewards in the process. The best part was that I was able to access a new project on Huobi, DeFine, a unique nonfungible token-based decentralized social network for Web 3.0. Often new projects aren’t accessible to retail traders, so it just goes to show that Huobi is committed to inclusiveness within the crypto community and isn’t just looking out for the big investors.
The Huobi Primepool Event
DeFine (DFA), the first Huobi Primepool project, officially launched for trading at 12:00 UTC on August 5, 2021. The opening price was 0.100 USDT, but DFA skyrocketed to 3.5767 USDT, increasing by 3476.7% in 5 minutes. According to Huobi data, more than 3,200 people from 79 countries participated in the week-long event.
The event gave users the chance to win a share of 2,250,000 DFA. Users participate in the asset-locking activities and gain rewards through staking designated assets on Primepool.
Here’s a breakdown of the event, which had two parts:
Event 1: Flexible locking on HT and ETH to share 2,160,000 DFA
From August 2nd to 9th at 8:00 PM UTC, users mined by staking certain amounts of Huobi Token (HT) or Ether (ETH). The mining rewards were distributed based on the user’s staking amount on that day. These were the prize pools:
Event 2: Lucky Draw: Lock HT & ETH to share 90,000 DFA
From August 2nd to 9th 7:59:59 PM UTC, users who qualified to get new tokens in Event 1 and locked no fewer than 10 HT or 0.1 ETH also had a chance to share in the 90,000 DFA rewards. 120 lucky winners were also randomly chosen to win a piece of the prize pool.
What Sets Huobi Apart
While rewards and incentives are definitely an important part of maintaining a community, Huobi is also focused on safety, security, and longevity. These are some of its top features:
- Robust risk control system. While other exchanges have dealt with hacks and other malicious activity, Huobi’s advanced risk control measures have protected the exchanges and users’ assets since its inception. To this day, they haven’t experienced any major security incidents.
- Anti-DDOS protection system. Huobi provides real-time mitigation of distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks while allowing legitimate traffic to pass through.
- Experience. Huobi has 7+ years of experience in digital asset trading services.
- High trading volume and liquidity. Huobi has been vocal about its commitment to liquidity across all of its markets, from DeFi to NFTs. Huobi is the largest derivatives platform, having recorded over $2.3 trillion in futures over the course of 2020, which averages to $6.3 billion daily volumes.
- 24/7 customer support. The Huobi support team is available for their users day and night.
Now let’s get into the results of the first event.
The Results of the First Primepool Event
Based on the data and my own experience, the first Primepool event was a big success.
14,730,000 HT and 83,000 ETH were locked during the first round. Users received 1,080,000 DFA, which was valued at 108,000 USD according to the open price, and 3,862,600 USD according to the highest price, which was 3.5767 USDT.
The price for HT also rose about 3% in the first round. In total, the annual percentage yield (APY) of HT on Primepool was 265.04% and the APY of ETH was 135.86%.
Even before the second round started, people were already excited about their earnings.
How Much I Earned from Event 1?
Before I participated in the event, I couldn’t wait to review the previous records of new-asset mining activities held by Huobi. After seeing the annualized yield and lock-up rewards, I believe Huobi has been seeking out and providing benefits for its community, so I decided to participate in the Primepool event.
During the first round of Event 1, I locked 100,000 HT from 20:00 August 3 to 10:00 August 5. According to the reward calculation rules, I earned 9,250 DFA as staking rewards. I sold them at around 3.31 USDT, thereby I earned a total of 9250*3.31=30617.5USDT at zero cost.
How to Participate in Primepool
Overall, I’m excited about what Primepool has to offer and look forward to seeing the new projects Houbi brings to the platform!
