Tether to Expand Tokenization Platform Hadron Across APAC

Tether is putting fresh focus on Asia-Pacific as it expands its push into real-world asset tokenization, with Jed Nazif joining the company as Expansion Manager, Tokenization.

Nazif announced the move on LinkedIn, saying he will focus on driving RWA initiatives and expanding Tether’s tokenization platform, Hadron by Tether, across APAC.

“I’m excited to drive RWA initiatives and Tether’s tokenization platform, Hadron, in APAC,” Nazif said.

The appointment comes as Tether increasingly looks beyond its core stablecoin business and builds infrastructure aimed at bringing traditional assets onto blockchains.

Who is Tether’s Tokenization Head Nazif

Hadron, launched by Tether in 2024, is designed to help institutions issue and manage tokenized assets across their lifecycle. The platform supports the tokenization of assets including stocks, bonds, commodities, funds and reward points, alongside tools for KYC, blockchain reporting, capital-market management and regulatory guidance.

Tether has been steadily adding institutional use cases to that platform.

Earlier this month, the company announced a collaboration with First Data and BKN301 to use Hadron for the tokenization of institutional-grade real estate in Saudi Arabia. First Data will act as the issuer and primary-market operator. Meanwhile Hadron will provide the underlying infrastructure for issuance, management and lifecycle administration.

That expansion is now reaching APAC, where Nazif will be tasked with developing new opportunities around tokenization and real-world assets.

Tether to Expand Hadron

The move also comes as Tether’s broader digital-asset business continues to grow. The company reported approximately $184.6 billion of USD₮ issuance at the end of the second quarter of 2026 and $1.5 billion in net operating profit for the quarter.

Hadron is becoming an increasingly important part of Tether’s strategy beyond USD₮.

The company has already added compliance infrastructure to the platform through partnerships with firms including Chainalysis and Crystal Intelligence. Tether says the integrations are intended to provide transaction monitoring, AML screening and other tools needed for institutions entering tokenized markets.

For Nazif, the new role places him at the centre of that expansion in one of the markets where tokenization is gaining traction among financial institutions.

APAC also gives Tether a broad range of markets to target, from established financial centres to emerging economies exploring blockchain-based capital-market infrastructure.

The company’s recent activity suggests that Hadron is no longer being positioned simply as a tokenization product. Tether is increasingly presenting it as infrastructure for institutions that want to issue, manage and eventually settle tokenized real-world assets.

Nazif’s appointment adds another layer to that strategy.

With Tether expanding Hadron deployments across regions and moving into assets such as real estate, the APAC expansion could become an important next step in the company’s effort to turn tokenization into a larger institutional business.
