XRP Up by 4 percent amidst slow moving market

There has been a lot of good news this week for the XRP community. If we take a look at the XRP price, at the time of writing it has been trading at $0.449 with a rise of 4.19 percent in the past 24 hours.

The world’s 3rd largest cryptocurrency, XRP joined the other cryptocurrencies as bulls entered and went above the $0.51 level. However, in tandem with the majority of the coins, it also went down.

As the chart shows below, today XRP registered a decent upward momentum while the market was running in the red.

XRP as the base currency on DCEX and Unocoin exchanges

A San Francisco-based crypto exchange that offers crypto-to-crypto trading is using XRP as the base currency. Launching in the coming days, the idea behind using XRP is explained with, “XRP blockchain transactions typically settle in under four seconds, allowing for faster multi-exchange strategies and providing a speed advantage over other money movement options”.

Furthermore, the exchange is planning to offer the investors the benefit of low transaction cost. They are planning to launch the exchange with 15 trading pairs where XRP would provide, “new conversion pathways for market participants and gives traders easy ways to access many of the top cryptocurrencies.”

Apart from this exchange, an Indian crypto exchange is also offering crypto-to-crypto trading with XRP as the base currency.

Big names: Bill Clinton for speech, Madonna’s raising Malawai to donate

Just recently, it has been announced by Ripple that its global payments tech conference, Swell will kick off with a keynote speech from Bill Clinton, the former US President. To be held on October 1 in San Francisco, the Q&A will be moderated by Gene Sperling, National Economic Council Director and Advisor under Presidents Clinton and Obama.

Ripple is not new to working for the society, previously it donated to the education sector and now it is partnering up with the Madonna, the famous artist for her not-for-profit organization, Raising Malawi.

The SVP of Business Operations at Ripple, Eric van Miltenburg shared:

“We’re honored to be a part of Raising Malawi’s amazing work with some of the world’s most underserved children and are grateful to our investors at Sound Ventures for making the introduction to us and this important cause.”

XRP is now live on Coinsquare in beta

Coinsquare, a cryptocurrency trading platform just recently listed XRP on its platform. But for now, it is only in beta and withdrawal feature is not available. However, users can trade for fiat and other cryptos.

Coinsquare also shared,

“While we’re excited about this launch, we also recognize it’s been a long wait, and we want to apologize for the delays and lack of communication. We appreciate everyone’s patience with us and commit to doing better going forward.”

Malta: XRP’s leading trader

According to the XRP’s recent report by the Chief Market Strategist of Ripple Cory Johnson, “Malta — not South Korea — is now the leading trader of #XRP.”

With Malta passing three laws in favor of blockchain and having one of the biggest exchanges,  Binance, it’s no surprise that it is topping in XRP trading.

In terms of acquiring new customers, Ripple registered one of the best quarters through the sale of XRP has declined.

A special mention is to Roger Ver who retracted his statement about XRP addresses being freezable and praising David Schwartz, Ripple’s CTO.

XRP might not be experiencing a strong price movement, but this cryptocurrency is surely compensating it by adding big names, doing charitable work and expanding with new listings and market.
