Ankr Partners With Aptos; Becomes The First RPC Provider On The Aptos Blockchain

Published by

The Solana-killer Aptos has been a frequent mention in the past few days, and now the blockchain project has successfully found its first Remote Procedural Call (RPC) provider. But the best part of this news is that the first RPC provider that supports Aptos blockchain is none other than the Web3 infrastructure-building decentralized project recognized within the industry as Ankr.

Ankr X Aptos – Partnership overview

The partnership between the two blockchain projects would provide developers with an opportunity to build upgradable, scalable, and, above all, safe decentralized applications (dApps) using the Aptos blockchain. Being an RPC provider means Ankr will enable numerous types of dApps to interact with its blockchain. According to the official data, Ankr is already an RPC provider to 18 other renowned crypto projects like BNB Chain, Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, etc.

The new Aptos testnet RPC can connect the following:

  • Wallets
  • Command-line interfaces
  • Decentralized applications

This testnet can do a lot more than simply act as a messenger or blockchain router, relaying on-chain info to and fro between Aptos dApps, nodes, and also its end-users. This helps users complete important tasks like populating wallet balances, transactions, obtaining ownership information, etc.

What does this mean for developers using Aptos?

After the partnership, developers involved with the Aptos projects will be able to access its Testnet Community and Premium RPCs easily. Not only that, but developers will also be allowed to make requests and retrieve information that mirrors the results one would get by running a full Aptos node. But the real significance behind the collaboration between Ankr and Aptos is supposed to bear fruit when the latter launches Mainnet.

As Aptos Mainnet goes live, Ankr will support the upgrade with several additional documents, features, and even tools to help Web3 developers make their building experience far simpler. Crypto enthusiasts believe that this partnership will pave the way for the Aptos Mainnet launch and increase demand even further. Those who have been building with the Aptos testnet are observing its significant transaction speed (over 160,000 TPS) after the release of Block-STM, a parallel execution engine upgrade.

Additionally, this partnership between Aptos and Ankr will be realized in the form of a decentralized geo-distributed Aptos RPC created with several blockchains running worldwide independently to improve low latency and even connection.

Conclusion

Aptos is best known as an emerging layer-1 blockchain project founded by a team of ex-Meta that prioritizes both its safety and scalability. Its mainnet launch has caused a stir in the industry and secured backing from investors like Paypal Ventures, Binance Labs, a16z, FTX Ventures, Binance Labs, etc. Ankr, on the other hand, has been servicing more than 50 PoS chains and is currently handling up to 2 trillion transactions a year.

This collaboration between the two could be a huge step in empowering dApp developers to build Web3 apps securely and quickly.
