Published by

Binance’s mining pool Binance Pool on Thursday said it will support the Ethereum Classic (ETC) as Ethereum switches to proof-of-stake (PoS) after the Merge. Also, Binance Pool is offering “zero” mining fees service for ETC mining until October 9.

Binance Pool Launches Zero Fee Ethereum Classic (ETH) Mining

Binance Pool is among the top mining pools in the world. Currently, Binance Pool is the 7th-largest mining pool for ETC mining and ranks 12th in Ethereum (ETH) mining. The mining pool will support ETC mining as miners will become obsolete after the Merge.

In order to attract miners to use its mining pool for ETC mining, Binance Pool is offering zero fees for ETC mining from September 9 to October 9. Users need to complete identity information in order to participate and receive rewards in their mining account.

“All users who contribute hashrate to the ETC Pool during the Promotion Period will enjoy zero pool fees for ETC mining.”

Users can apply for VIP membership by sending an email to poolvip@binance.com to increase the hashrate level. Also, users can enjoy discounted fees in VIP membership.

According to the official announcement, the terms and conditions allow Binance to disqualify any participants committing fraud. Moreover, Binance has the right to cancel or modify the promotion or promotion rules.

Other mining pools such as Ethermine, Antpool, BTC.com, and F2Pool are also supporting Ethereum Classic (ETC).  Some are even offering “zero” mining fees for ETC mining. BTC.com has launched an ETC mining pool, offering 3-month of fee-free ETC mining. Meanwhile, the largest ETC mining pool F2Pool has invited miners to ETC, RVN, CFX, and other coins. F2Pool started “Zero” commission fees for ETC mining until September 30.

ETC Price Breaking Records

Ethereum Classic (ETC) price records a massive rally and the hash rate has hit ATH. With the Merge happening between September 13-15, the ETC price is most likely to skyrocket as miners switches to Ethereum Classic.

In the last 24 hours, the ETC price has rallied nearly 10%, with the current price trading above $37. Meanwhile, Ethereum (ETH) price is trading at $1,637, up 8% in a day.
