According to Bitget CEO, the company celebrates its seventh anniversary this year with a new vision for digital asset trading. The “Gear Up to 7” theme for the celebration represents the company’s willingness to defy convention rules in order to grow faster.
In a letter to the community, Chief Executive Officer Gracy Chen introduced the concept of the Universal Exchange, or UEX, which she described as the platform’s next chapter. Chen compared the journey to a MotoGP race, where success comes not by shifting into the sixth gear but by finding a seventh gear that pushes beyond limits.
Bitget has spent the past seven years playing the role of a challenger in the market. Instead of chasing hype, the company built products like Bitget Wallet while Morph Chain adopted Bitget Token (BGB). The firm also invested in projects that shaped its wider ecosystem.
It also launched GetAgent, an AI-driven trading assistant, and committed resources to many education and charity initiatives. These include Blockchain4Her, Blockchain4Youth, and UNICEF programs.
The CEO said the crypto industry has outgrown the binary split between centralized and decentralized exchanges. Both have strengths but also limitations that stop them from being complete solutions. She argued that the future is about building an ecosystem that meets user needs by combining security and experience with diversified assets.
Chen says UEX embodies this integration. The exchange will not be limited to cryptocurrencies. Instead, it will support a universal range of assets, from stocks and ETFs to forex and gold.
With Bitget enabling the tokenization of equities and ETFs, the next major upgrade is on the way. It will allow trading of millions of tokens across major blockchains directly within exchange accounts.
Three technical breakthroughs stand at the heart of UEX. They are comprehensive asset coverage, AI-powered integration, and enhanced security. The platform will use hybrid custody models and intelligent detection tools to safeguard user assets.
The additional insurances against risks by the fund that Bitget is expanding. According to Chen, Bitget is running a marathon and not sprint because the company plans to put users first. She also notes that UEX reflects the original concept of crypto, which is to democratize financial access.
Bitget’s mission is to break barriers that exclude billions from markets. The company aims to provide tools making financial participation a fundamental right. As Bitget celebrates its milestone, the CEO thanked its 120 million users and more than 2,000 global staff. She added that the firm is committed to expanding financial freedom to billions worldwide.
