KalqiX:- Decentralized exchanges (DEXs) have long relied on automated market makers (AMMs) to power crypto trading. While AMMs made on-chain trading simple and permissionless, they often come with challenges such as slippage and fragmented liquidity.

Now, KalqiX, an infrastructure provider for DEXs, is looking to change that.

The trustless execution layer has gone live on QuickSwap, making it the first AMM to integrate KalqiX’s infrastructure. The launch allows QuickSwap users on Base to access on-chain order book trading without leaving the app. Users don’t need to move funds to another platform, or without giving up custody of their assets.

However, instead of Quickswap building a new exchange, KalqiX is providing the backend technology that helps existing DEXs to plug into to offer a better trading experience for their users. Here’s how:

How QuickSwap KalqiX Integration Works

Although traders interact with QuickSwap, the technology powering the order book comes from KalqiX.

For traders, not much changes on the surface and that’s the point.

As per the official X article, users can continue trading through the same QuickSwap interface they already use. Behind the scenes, however, orders are now routed through KalqiX’s trustless zero-knowledge (ZK) central limit order book (CLOB). The orders are then matched before settling atomically through Avail Atomic.

That means users don’t need to bridge assets, switch applications, or hand over custody to access order book trading.

Simply, the integration is built around three simple layers:

  • QuickSwap remains the trading interface where users place orders.
  • KalqiX acts as the execution layer that matches and processes those orders through a trustless order book.
  • Avail Atomic serves as the settlement layer, ensuring trades are finalized securely on-chain.

With this, DEXs can offer better price execution while keeping the trading experience as simple as it is today.

In a Block of fame conversation, KalqiX co-founder and CEO Sameep Singhania had said, “that the team is building shared execution infrastructure rather than another decentralized exchange.”

In other words, KalqiX is designed to help DEXs, wallets, and DeFi protocols add trustless order book trading to their existing products instead of competing with them for users.

This approach allows platforms to keep their own brand and customer relationships. That’s all while using KalqiX’s execution technology behind the scenes.

Why This Matters for DeFi

The QuickSwap integration marks the first live deployment of KalqiX’s execution layer on an AMM. However the company says the infrastructure is designed to support many more decentralized applications over time.

The timing also comes as decentralized exchanges continue to see strong trading activity. According to DefiLlama, DEXs have processed nearly $7 billion in trading volume over the past 24 hours and more than $171 billion over the last 30 days.

However, traders can still receive different prices depending on where they execute a trade due to fragmented liquidity across protocols.

KalqiX aims to improve price execution by providing a shared execution layer that existing DEXs can build on. This will allow them to offer trustless order book trading without requiring users to move to a new platform.

With QuickSwap becoming the first AMM to adopt the technology, the launch offers an early look. It shows how decentralized trading infrastructure could evolve beyond traditional liquidity pools while keeping trading fully on-chain and self-custodial.
