Just-In: Former U.S. President Donald Trump Launches NFT Collection At $99

The former President of the United States, Donald Trump, who is well-known for releasing branded product lines, has now added one more to his list: an NFT collection. On Trump’s Truth Social account, the so-called Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection was revealed to the public for the first time.

As per Trump’s post, the cards are selling for “only $99 each” and the official website mentions of a sweepstake associated with the collection. It will be offering prizes like a 1-on-1 Zoom call or one hour of golf with the flamboyant billionaire.

Trump further states that,

My official Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection is here! These limited edition cards feature amazing ART of my Life & Career! Collect all of your favorite Trump Digital Trading Cards

According to the site hosting these NFTs, the collection will be minted on the Polygon blockchain, and a total of 45,000 NFTs will be created during the first run of the collection.

Trump’s Comeback Move?

Trump’s pronouncement comes after his 2024 presidential campaign was made public. Trump, who was president of the United States from 2017 to 2021, lost his attempt for re-election in 2020.

Based on recent polls and his party’s dismal showing in the 2022 midterm elections, the former US president may have a difficult time winning the Republican Party’s presidential nomination.

But, even with his less-than-favorable polling and the party’s dismal performance, the former president managed to pique people’s interest on Wednesday by releasing a video on Truth Social in which he declared, “AMERICA NEEDS A SUPERHERO! I will be making a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT tomorrow. Thank you!”
