Tezos is a blockchain network that hosts the digital token XTZ, also known as tezzie. Tezos was created by Arthur Breitman, a native of France and former Google X and Waymo engineer. XTZ enables user participation in decentralized finance (Defi), decentralized applications, and non-fungible token (NFT) projects, similar to other cryptocurrency blockchains.
A blockchain-based governance mechanism used by Tezos prevents hard forks, or blockchain splits, by adopting and implementing protocol upgrades selected by voting proportional to users’ economic stake in Tezos. XTZ uses a proof-of-stake system rather than Bitcoin mining to validate blockchain transactions, which uses less energy.
Tezos Token’s price today is $0.8128, with a market capitalization of $ 764 million and a 24-hour trading volume up by 14.54%. Now it stands at $13.3 million. At the same time, the circulating supply is approximately 920,743,948 XTZ.
XTZ cryptocurrency has dropped nearly 77% year to date. It has fallen by more than 88% since the token’s all-time high in October 2021. The token’s price has fallen as a result of volatility and uncertainty in the broader markets and cryptocurrency markets caused by a variety of macroeconomic factors.
According to Cryptopredictions.com, XTZ can go $1 by January 2023. Let’s assume that you invest a modest $100 in Tezos coins today.
According to today’s price, which is $0.8131, you will have approximately 122.9 HT. If Tezos coin price hits $1 in the next few years, your $100 will become approximately $122.9. Let’s say you bought $100 worth of XTZ coins today. With the current rate, you will have approximately 122.9 coins. However, you can potentially make approximately $123 when it reaches the $1 mark.
