A war of words broke on the internet when Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum founder targeted Ripple’s native token. The XRP holder’s lawyer even asked Buterin to clarify its controversial take. However, the ETH founder has replied to it yet and the lawyer said that it is very immature.
John Deaton, the XRP holder’s lawyer on a Twitter thread criticized and called out Vitalik for picking out the asset holders. He said that this is very shameful and disgusting that Vitalik hasn’t deleted or clarified his tweet.
However, Deaton realised that the ETH founder didn’t misspeak this, he intended to do this. While he mentioned that this was a hateful and immature comment toward the XRP community and not Ripple.
He added that many people might not pay attention to these comments but the people who are fighting against tribalism feel that this is very demoralizing.
Deaton highlighted Vitalik’s Right to protection remark. He said that he wouldn’t mind if the Ethereum founder would have aimed toward Ripple. As the blockchain firm can defend itself. Even its biggest critic can see the SEC’s overreach and hopes that Ripple defeats the commission.
David Schwartz, Ripple CTO also slammed Vitalik yesterday. He stated that ETH is trying to support the trend that the government should penalize the projects with don’t suit their narrative.
XRP lawyer further added that Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple CEO will be giving an interview next month and they might ignore Vitalik’s comment. But he wouldn’t as he holds thousands of emails of the people whose finance were destroyed when the SEC filed a lawsuit against XRP alleging it a security.
He mentioned that some emails from January 2021 that states suicide incidents. There are many people who invested their whole life savings in the XRP tokens. It is very insulting for those people when you say that XRP lost the right to protection.
