BTC price rested at $61,159 today, a slight 0.21% gain recorded after a highly turbulent trading session in the past 24 hours. Its intraday lows and highs were $60,141.54 and $61,408.11, respectively.
Notably, Bitcoin transaction fees spiked from a 0.5 low to 60 BTC on an hourly basis, as spotlighted by CryptoQuant researcher Julio Moreno on X recently. This spike is primarily attributable to the recent surge in BTC staking transactions, capped at 1K Bitcoin. Subsequently, as the staking ended, the transaction fees eased once again.

Notably, 18,000 BTC options are set to expire with a Put Call Ratio of 0.83, a Maxpain point of $60,000, and a notional value of $1.12 billion.

Whilst, 140,000 ETH options are set to expire with a Put Call Ratio of 0.93, a Maxpain point of $26,25, and a notional value of $370 million. Also, it’s worth noting that the ETH ETFs recorded $874.61K outflows as of August 22, sparking contrasting market sentiments on the asset.
The crypto SOL witnessed a 2.21% increase in value to trade at $144.96. Its 24-hour lows and highs were $142.01 and $145.61, respectively. Solana’s market cap rested at $67.53 billion. Meanwhile, the coin’s 24-hour trading volume rested at $1.34 billion, a 33.23% decrease over the past day.
