Crypto Prices Today (August 29): The crypto market today remains weak, although it has also prevented further downside momentum. Bitcoin (BTC) price kept the $59K mark, whereas Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and XRP traded in both red and green territories.
Intriguingly, TON ecosystem tokens noted considerable gains with Telegram CEO Pavel Durov’s release from prison. However, it’s worth noting that AI coins remained weak despite Nvidia beating its earnings. The looming U.S. PCE data set to be released on Friday has added a layer of intrigue among market participants.
Meanwhile, the global crypto market cap saw a slight 0.05% increase in value to $2.09 trillion today. However, the total market volume slipped 2.72% to $84.29 billion. Here’s a brief report on some of the top cryptocurrencies by market cap and their price movements today.
BTC price rested at $59,171 at press time, a nearly 1% decline in value in the past 24 hours. The coin’s intraday lows and highs were recorded as $57,890.68 and $60,236.45, respectively. BTC’s dominance stood at 56.01%, a decline of 0.25% over the day.
This volatility aligns with spot Bitcoin ETFs witnessing $105.19 million in outflows as of August 28. Ark & 21 Shares (ARKB) led the pack with $59.27 million in outflows, per Soso Value data.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin miner Vortex Brands recently started acquiring MicroStrategy (MSTR) stocks, sparking further discussions among market participants.
Whereas, ETH price gained nearly 2% over the past day to trade at $2,523. Its 24-hour lows and highs are $2,431.56 and $2,553.82, respectively.
Notably, the upward movement aligns with $5.84 million inflows into spot Ethereum ETFs. BlackRock leads the pack with $8.40 million in inflows.
The crypto SOL’s value dropped 3% to $143.65 today. Its intraday lows and highs were $140.97 and $148.69, respectively.
It’s worth noting that Binance recently launched Spot Grid and Spot DCA trading bots for the SOL/EUR pair.
Meanwhile, XRP price jumped 0.3% in the past 24 hours to trade at $0.5709. The Ripple-backed coin’s 24-hour lows and highs were $0.5582 and $0.5843, respectively.
From the meme coins sector, Dogecoin (DOGE) price witnessed a 1% upswing in value to $0.1006 today. Further, Shiba Inu (SHIB) price gained 0.7% to trade at $0.00001395.
Meanwhile, Pepe Coin (PEPE), dogwifhat (WIF), and FLOKI slipped 0.5%-1%, aligning with the broader market movement.
TON-based DOGS price gained 19% to $0.00149 today. Its 24-hour lows and highs were $0.001219 and $0.001644, respectively.
Toncoin price saw a 5% pump in value to $5.57. The coin’s intraday lows and highs were $5.29 and $5.89, respectively.
IMX price gained 5% to $1.45 today. Its intraday lows and peaks were $1.35 and $1.47, respectively.
STX price tanked 10% over the past day and is currently sitting at $1.39. Its 24-hour lows and highs are $1.55 and $1.77, respectively.
ORDI price cracked 9% over the past day to trade at $27.05. The coin’s 24-hour lows and highs are $26.11 and $30.03, respectively.
AI coin TAO’s price fell 8% to $295.52 over the past day. Its 24-hour lows and highs were $292.81 and $325.62, respectively.
Besides, the hourly time frame charts sparked uncertain sentiments over the crypto prices today. BTC gained 0.04%, while ETH slipped 0.05%.
In addition, a recent post by CryptoQuant revealed that the NVT Golden Cross is currently tussling to surpass its previous peak, indicating that the recent uptrend is losing momentum. This has further raised investor concerns over the market’s future.
