However, Tron (TRON) emerged among the day’s top gainers against the broader market trend, with its ecosystem tokens mimicking a surge.
Besides, the global crypto market cap dipped 1.53% over the past day to reach $2.1 trillion. Further, the total crypto market volume conversely saw a 4.98% increase to $64.72 billion.

1. Bitcoin Price Today
BTC price rested at $59,291 today, a 2% decrease in the past 24 hours. The coin’s 24-hour lows and highs were recorded as $58,610.88 and $61,396.33, respectively. The slumping price movement primarily aligns with Mt Gox’s massive Bitcoin transfer, signalling creditor repayment plans.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s dominance stood at 55.74%, a decrease of 0.29% over the past day. This waning movement comes despite $88.06 million inflows in Bitcoin ETFs as of August 20, per Soso Value data, fueling concerns among investors.
Besides, Galaxy Digital bought a whopping $82 million worth of BTC recently, adding to contrasting market sentiments on the asset.
Additionally, the crypto market today takes the heat of Kamala Harris’ recent stance on capital gains tax, as she proposed a 45% tax on realized gains and 25% on unrealized gains. Conversely, a recent report by CoinGape spotlighted why a post-halving rally for BTC lies ahead, igniting uncertainty over future movements.
2. Ethereum Price Today
