BTC price rested at $59,291 today, a 2% decrease in the past 24 hours. The coin’s 24-hour lows and highs were recorded as $58,610.88 and $61,396.33, respectively. The slumping price movement primarily aligns with Mt Gox’s massive Bitcoin transfer, signalling creditor repayment plans.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s dominance stood at 55.74%, a decrease of 0.29% over the past day. This waning movement comes despite $88.06 million inflows in Bitcoin ETFs as of August 20, per Soso Value data, fueling concerns among investors.
Besides, Galaxy Digital bought a whopping $82 million worth of BTC recently, adding to contrasting market sentiments on the asset.
Additionally, the crypto market today takes the heat of Kamala Harris’ recent stance on capital gains tax, as she proposed a 45% tax on realized gains and 25% on unrealized gains. Conversely, a recent report by CoinGape spotlighted why a post-halving rally for BTC lies ahead, igniting uncertainty over future movements.
ETH price slipped 2% in the past 24 hours to reach $2,593 today. Its intraday lows and highs were recorded as $2,556.75 and $2,695.91, respectively.
The spot Ethereum ETFs saw $6.49 million in outflows as of August 20, aligning with the token’s volatile movement. Ethereum’s market cap stood at $311.95 billion today.
The SOL price also witnessed a 2% decrease in value to reach $142.52 today. Solana’s 24-hour lows and highs were recorded as $141.36 and $148.65, respectively.
