DeFiChain’s Native DFI Token Gets Listed On Gate.io

DeFiChain has been making a name for itself as a decentralized Proof-of-stake blockchain, focused on decentralized financial apps. The project has been known for enabling dApps to use bespoke transactions which can incorporate more additional features. DeFiChain is recently in the news due to the listing of its native DFI token on Gate.io, one of the world’s most popular cryptocurrency exchanges.

Gate.io lists the DFI token

The listing of DeFiChain’s DFI token on Gate.io will further its mission to make the DFI token accessible to investors the world over. Gate.io has already carved out a reputation for supporting the most cryptocurrencies of any exchange. The ERC-20 version of the DFI token will be available for trading on Gate.io from 10 am UTC on September 26th.  This token will initially trade against USDT with plans to bring a DFI/BTC pair later. The native version of DFI will become available on Gate.io in late October.

The listing of DFI on Gate.io will allow users to transfer the token to any compatible wallet they want. It will also give them an entry into the DeFiChain ecosystem where they can access decentralized stock tokens. The DFI token is already listed on exchanges such as Huobi, Kucoin, Bybit (ERC-20 format), Bittrex, Bitrue, Hotbit, and Bitpanda.

What is the DFI token?

The native DFI token acts as a crucial monetary unit within the DeFiChain environment. It is used mainly as a charge for conducting transactions and as a governance token. DFI is also utilized to produce fresh coins on DCT and propose community suggestions. The DFI token is already a top 100 coin with a $480 million market cap. It has been issued by the DeFiChain Foundation with a 1.2 billion lifetime cap.

There are no ICOs on the platform. – just airdrops available for free. DFI is used to pay fees for all DeFiChain operations involving smart contracts, token exchanges,  DEX fees, DeFi services, fee payments for decentralized trading activities, and ICX costs. DFI can also be used as collateral on the DeFiChain to loan other assets.

A little about Gate.io

China-based Gate.io is one of the oldest crypto-to-crypto exchanges, operating since 2013. It facilitates hosting IEOs, numerous cryptocurrencies, margin trading with leverage, margin lending, borrowing, and other financial services. With over 1300 cryptocurrencies available, it is one of the very few exchanges that accepts around 50 fiat currencies. It has become quite popular over the years because of its low trading fee. In fact, the highest trading fee on the platform is a mere 0.2%.

Conclusion

The listing of DFI on Gate.io will open many avenues for investors to access the rich DeFiChain ecosystem, allowing them to access the myriad of advanced financial products that the ecosystem has to offer.
