Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ political team confirmed that he will announce his Republican presidential candidacy for the 2024 presidential election in a Twitter space with Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and Twitter on Wednesday. He will also file a document with the Federal Election Commission at the same time, making the candidacy official.
Elon Musk says it’s a smart move by Ron DeSantis. He believes any candidate who uses Twitter to make announcements will get the maximum audience.
During the Wall Street Journal’s CEO Council Summit, Elon Musk said he isn’t planning to endorse any presidential candidate at present. However, he is interested in interviewing candidates on Twitter Spaces.
The DeSantis Presidential Candidacy Twitter Space with Elon Musk is scheduled on May 24 at 6 PM ET.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk is open to welcoming Donald Trump and President Joe Biden for a discussion on Twitter after Democrats supporters urged him to interview them.
