As the football fever increases with every breath-taking match, an officially licensed FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 metaverse game has been recently launched on the Hedera network, which is powered by its proprietary hashgraph technology; claimed as blockchain 2.0.
Reality+ has partnered with OTZ Sports to launch “Own The Zone” Web3 game where fans get a chance to win limited-edition digital collectibles (NFTs) and also real-world prizes.
On the initial match card, players will receive two of the eight on-pitch zones for free for each match.
After the original game has concluded, actual player activities within player zones will award points, which will all be tracked using the official FIFA live match data. The chances of winning tickets to The Best FIFA Football Awards and £5,000 per match day increase with the number of zones you own in the FIFA Match Day Sweepstake.

Additionally, Match Card results have an effect on the rarity level of Own The Zone digital collectibles, which are given to all participants as rewards for participating and are identified by various visual combinations to produce a completely unique piece of digital collectibles in the football metaverse.
Hedera, the carbon-negative network, and the Hedera Token Service (HTS) are the driving forces behind the FIFA World Cup 2022 licensed metaverse game. The construction of wallets and the minting of coins takes place naturally during the gameplay and registration processes, providing for a seamless transition of sports fans into the Web3 ecosystem.
