Breaking: Kamala Harris Wins DNC Nomination In Race For White House
Highlights
- Kamala Harris is now the official nominee of the DNC in the Presidential race
- She will be running against Donald Trump in the November elections
- Is Kamala Harris a good choice for the crypto industry?
United States Vice President Kamala Harris is making history in various ways in the race for the White House. In a rather exciting twist, Harris has won the official nomination to represent the Democratic Party in the November elections.
The Kamala Harris Legacy
In less than a month after President Joe Biden dropped out of the election for undisclosed reasons, his choice, Kamala Harris just bagged the nomination from the Democratic National Committee (DNC). This move is significant for Harris who represents a unique minority in the society.
She will come off as the second woman to run against former President Donald Trump after Hillary Clinton in 2016. This election is already heating up the polity with Harris trying to curry favor from members of the crypto ecosystem. She is making effort to reset her relationship with the cryptocurrency industry. The move is perceived as strategic but also controversial. California Congressman Ro Khanna is planning a pivotal roundtable meeting in Washington soon.
Those expected to attend the roundtable meeting are crypto industry leaders and political figures, including Democrats politicians. According to FOX Business Journalist Eleanor Terrett, Kamala Harris‘ team will also attend this crypto meeting. It could serve as the pedestal for willing Democrats including the new DNC nominee Kamala, to restart their relationship with the crypto industry.
Kamala Harris Criticized For Crypto Pivot
The Democrats presidential candidate is likely to face some setbacks with her new pivot. Even Tennessee Senator Bill Hagerty openly mentioned his strong skepticism about Harris’s new strategy.
“It’s no surprise that after witnessing the monumental success of President Donald Trump at the Bitcoin conference in Nashville, Kamala Harris is, as she has on many other issues, making a desperate last-minute 180-degree flip to appear pro-crypto,” Hagerty opined.
Again, Kamala’s newly found path has not changed Donald Trump’s mind about attending the previously scheduled Presidential debates. While speaking in a recently held interview on Fox Business Network, the Republican Party member stated that even though he want to take part in the debate, he does not see a need for it.
In the meantime, it appears that Trump is leading the race, evident in the result of an earlier poll exercise. He has a 1.1% lead on Kamala Harris, based on 97 polls.
