The NFT mania is far from over. As Miami continues its push to become the crypto capital of the world, the city will be holding a series of events next week that include the first-ever NFT art exhibition. NFT BAZL aims to make history by “bridging the gap between NFTs and the real world.”
This Wednesday, a whole array of influential digital artists and musicians will treat attendees to biddable artworks and music performances. Some of these include Punk Me Tender, Max Jamali, D-Snow 23, Fidia, Hijack, Alessandra Maskita, Rasmus Benjamin, Transparent, Daniel Mazzone, Paul Rousso, and Super Buddha, who will be showcasing over 100 pieces curated by renowned specialist Estelle Ohayon.
Two NFTs by boxing legend Floyd Mayweather will also be available at the event. “Headlines,” a visual representation of his career designed by world-renowned artist OYLE and produced by BEYOND will immortalize his legacy on the blockchain. Meanwhile, collectors will also get the chance to bid a pair of boxing gloves which the icon will sign at a meet-and-greet.
These pieces will be auctioned using leading blockchain technology available on Elitium’s newly-launched in-app NFT marketplace. The app combines blockchain and traditional banking with NFTs that can be purchased through credit card, bank transfers, or crypto payments. Artists will also benefit from this new technology since the platform is designed so that the artists will receive royalties directly from their sold work.
Just as well, a percentage of these sales will be destined to the Elikia Hope Foundation which supports the African Diaspora. The organization is led by the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Queen Diambi, who will be attending the event.
There will also be live performances by the likes of Firebeatz, who have collaborated with Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix and other staples of the EDM music scene. Besides entertaining guests, the music production duo is set to launch its own NFT collection.
All of this will take place at South Beach’s Art Deco masterpiece The Temple House. The prestigious venue was designed by L. Murray Dixon and counts on advanced technological facilities that have been at the forefront of countless productions, events, and exhibitions.
The event organizers, Elitium and GDA Capital are two blockchain-focused firms who’ve seen the opportunity in giving investors, collectors, and enthusiasts a way to experience NFTs in both digital and physical form. As explained by Elitium CEO Raoul Milhado, the event will use the technology “to innovate live auctions of digital and physical art, live streaming, music and entertainment.”
A virtually held NFT Summit will also be held at the same time as the NFT BAZL in support of the event, starting the day before on June 1st. It will be the first to take place on Decentraland and will be streamed live as well. Keynote speakers include team members from the event organizers, Raoul Milhado and Michael Gord, as well as Nifty Gateway’s Miguel Romero, Rarible’s Alex Salnikov, and Mintbase’s Carolin Wend.
Tickets for NFT BAZL and NFT Summit are available at nftbazl.com and nftsummit.net.
